It's up and i'm in it. ;)
There are so many cool vendors this year. Even though it's a month away i'm already starting to plan my set up and stock up on new designs..

1) B-boy battle goes all day from 10am-4pm! Hope to be able to catch some of these break dance battles... they are so amazing.

I just ordered 2 of these great business card holders from KreativeKarryAlls.etsy.com
They're made of fabric and ship flat...and the wire that has been sewn inside the edges enables you to fold it (she supplies a little template) into your business card holder.

She has a ton of great fabric choices as well... and only $6! SCORE.

Gems and Minerals

I've always been entranced by the Gems and Minerals Exhibit at the Natural Science Museum. There's something magical about stepping into the dark hall with glowing vitrines filled with sparkly and colorful treasures...somehow reminiscent of Superman's world ;)

My latest designs are fashioned and inspired by these museum exhibits and to me, manage to be both elegant yet easy to wear. For example pair one of these necklaces with a plain white tank to add some fun eyecatching contrast. Or you can glam up that little black dress to make it gala worthy.

I've been busy making and remaking.
I'm bringing out all the vintage and antique items I've been collecting for my "vintage rehab pieces".

These pieces come from all over. From the antique market in Buenos Aires, to little Reading, Vermont... to my local flea market on capitol hill- Eastern Market.

Also introducing these fun new "swing earring" designs which are available in sterling silver or 14k goldfill.




Lastly, something i've been wanting to do for a while and I finally stopped procrastinating and made them:
NINJA STARS!

I don't know why but i really love the idea of carrying around a ninja star around your neck. Always ready for action!

My Dog Blogs

.....and twitters.

Yes we are those crazy "dog parents". I never understood it before, but our dog, El Guapo, is just the coolest. He talks, he dances, and is just the best all around cuddler.

He's got a great sense of humor (via my husband) and does posts and commentary on things we see on Etsy, places we go visit, as well as just showing off his cute mug.

As for me it's easy to see how he has become my muse for so many of my designs. (See below)

DIY Framed Chalk Board

This was a fun little project we finally completed. (We had it in the works for a couple of months)

Materials:
+ Frame- $4 from goodwill- repainted in black glossy paint.
+ Chalkboard paint
+ Magnetic paint
+ Plywood cut to size

















First we bought some 1/4 inch plywood that was cut to the same size as the mirror.
We had to put 2-3 coats of the magnetic paint first- it's not super strong but it works.
After that dried we did 2 coats of the chalkboard paint.

...and VOILA!
