Custom Silhouette Ornament

Sorry for my long lapse in Updates.  Baby #2 is now 6 months old and smiling all the time while not sleeping! :/

Needless to say my time for jewelry has been limited.

With the holidays approaching I still wanted to offer you something that would make the gift giving unique and fun.

I'm offering 3-d printed ornaments of silhouettes (Just like the silhouette charm necklaces I pierce from Silver and 14k Goldfill).

They are roughly 2x3 inches depending on the shape of your silhouette and can be printed in a variety of Strong and Flexible plastic colors. They take 2 weeks to ship from the time of the order .

COST-
$20 if I've created a silhouette for you in the past and
$30 if you need a silhouette and an ornament.

TIMELINE-
I can take orders this week Nov 17-20th and December 1-8th. (if you want them in time for Christmas)

If you would like just the silhouette graphic to print out on your own to DIY a special gift , send me a photo and I will create a jpeg or pdf file for you to use.  (usually takes 1-2 days)  and can be purchased HERE in my ETSY shop ( $12 )

Tips for Photos-
+ Take the photo eye level with the subject
+ use a plain or back lit background (i.e. solid contrasting color wall , lit window , sun or light in background)

Feel free to send me a couple of pics if you feel you would like certain traits captured better.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

I'm super excited about Tim Burton's upcoming movie "Alice in Wonderland". It looks fantastical and I can't imagine who better to play the mad hatter than Johnny Depp.

Inspired by its magic, I've been planning my own trip down the rabbit hole with a set of new designs inspired by Lewis Carroll's Classic.

I've hand cut various silhouettes depicting some famous favorite characters such as the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire cat and of course Alice.

I'm still working on the Mad Hatter ;) Maybe I'll be inspired after the movie.

What I did this weekend...

Besides dork out on the computer....post-pone going to the supermarket for another week...hang out in my p.j's with the hubs and the guaps (my boston T-dog)... IT WAS COLD AND DARK OUTSIDE :(

Anyways, HAPPY MONDAY!

Bad weather aside I was a little productive....
I figured since I've been making nature and animal related silhouettes I should try my hand at some nouveau inspired silhouettes. A while back i had drawn out this lady from a doily my grandmother gave me... and designed some cards with this graphic.

I decided I would use this as my lady silhouette for a new pendant. Check it!
I'm planning to learn how to enamel. I think this design would look great in a celadon blue or bone colored enamel. Can't wait .

Of course I also had to delve into some quirkiness : I made some "moose ears" ;)- Little copper moose antler silhouettes on sterling silver ear wires. As well as a sterling and copper antler necklace.

I then played with a collection of lush and bright gems for some elegant and colorful compositions

Lastly, on the brilliant recommendation of a customer ;) via my online survey, I've re-organized my website.

I have "Collections" now in both my earrings and necklaces sections.
i.e. Fossils, Hearts, Gems, and of course Silhouettes.
